I would like to welcome you to our web site.
I am Pastor Howard L. Wynn. I am the missionary pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Worldwide ministries. I have been working here on the Island of Leyte since 1980. We became missionaries in 1978.
Grace Baptist Church was started by Leslie Funk and his wife in 1979. He got sick after more than 30 years as a missionary and we took over this work when it was just over one year old.
I am hoping that this web site will inform you of just some of the mighty works of Our Lord upon the ministry here.
We are quite different than the average church here in the Philippines. Our work here in Tacloban is financed by our people. We buy all church property and build all buildings out of funds raised here in the Philippines. Our people also have a great vision for the world and prove it by this year promising over $75,000.00 to missions around the world.
We have nine young men and women directly out of our work here serving the Lord as full time missionaries in other parts of the world. We also have twelve other works here in the Philippines that have started directly out of our church and graduates of our Bible College.
As you look at our site I trust God will get the glory as only He deserves. If you have any questions at all, we hope you will write us so we can attempt to answer them. May God's greatest and mighty blessings be yours!
